The Dolby Atmos Renderer shows a 'Control Events Error' if it receives more events/messages than it can handle at any one time.

Activating or deactivating many objects at once or soloing a single track (and therefore muting many objects) are times when Pro Tools sends a lot of data to the Renderer. Typically this only occurs in Pro Tools sessions with more than 60 objects.

Avid are aware of this and are working on a fix.


If this issue presents a persistent problem, a workaround is to revert to an earlier version of Pro Tools (such as 2022.10).

 

**With the release of Pro Tools 2023.3, the Control Events Error should no longer occur.
