Dolby Atmos Panner
Hey hows it going guys. I just got into Dolby Atmos. I am currently running Pro Tools Ultimate on Mac OS Catalina on a 2015 MacBook pro 15inch i7. I have been able to get sound through the renderer from pro tools. I have been having trouble with the Dolby Atmos Panner. It wont connect to the localhost, the reason I know its not connecting is because the circle next to the address box is red.
Wondering if you guys have any insight on this?
Thanks

If the Production Suite is up and running the Dolby Atmos Music Panner should connect. I suggest retyping in localhost (lower case) or trying to enter the local ip address (127.0.0.1). Once connected you will see it in the Dolby Atmos Music Panner and the "remote client" tab of Preferences in the Production Suite. (see attached). If you are new to Dolby Atmos and using Pro Tools Ultimate is there a reason you are starting out trying to use the Music Panner. Other than sequencing a few other modes the native panner in Pro Tools Ultimate can accomplish much of the same.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Adam
It is connected but you won't see a remote client until you make an active object. It might be worth going through some of the online training at learning.dolby.com or at least the first few exercises to get some of the groundwork down.

I ended up solving the connectivity problems with the Dolby Atmos Panner. Originally when I purchased the renderer from Avid, they gave me version 3.5. I later found out from a friend that the new version is 3.7. I updated my renderer to the newest version, inserted the dolby atmos panner onto a track in Pro Tools and boom problem was solved!
Hope that helps
