Dolby atmos music panner problem.
At the studio I work we have a Dolby Atmos studio room that uses Dante Controller to create the connection between the Dolby Atmos Renderer machine to the pro tools machine, they run in different components. So when I try to use Dolby Atmos Music Panner, there's no Dolby Atmos Renderer assigned to it and therefore I can't assign any object to it. That way I simply can't use it. Does anyone knows how can I make it work?

You will need to use the IP adress of the Renderer you want to connect to. You can find that address in the 'Remote Clients' tab of the Renderer Preferences. Localhost is only used for a Renderer running on the same machine as the DAW.
    • Got it, but now i have another problem, I found the IP adress where you told me to, than I wrote it down on Dolby Atmos Music Panner but the light icon still red.

What DAW are you using? If you are using Pro Tools, the music panner and the Dolby Atmos peripherals tab must be connected to the same Renderer. See screenshot.

Can you try using the numerical IP address for both connections?

You can click in the Renderer Host field to type a value, rather than select from the list.
  • When I open the preferences tab on renderer and go to "Remote clients" this is what I got (see screenshot). I tried both IP adresses and neither solved the problem.

    Can you confirm your hardware/software:

    Computer Model/OS
    Pro Tools Version
    Renderer Version
    Music Panner Version

And send over the Renderer log files (Help > Open Logs Folder)

Also, are you testing in an empty Pro Tools session? If not, can you try making a blank pro tools session and see if that changes anything?
