Objects 23-26 no audio into Renderer
hello, I'm on a trial version of Dolby Renderer DAPS 3.7.3 on Mac (Studio Max) in Logic Pro 10.7.7. Object tracks 23-26 get signal within Logic Pro tracks but 23-26 do not show or get audio in the Renderer. All other Objects work fine.

Hi, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Are you trying to use the Dolby Atmos Production Suite or the integrated Dolby Atmos Renderer in Logic Pro?

To use the Dolby Atmos Production Suite you need to use the Dolby Audio Bridge as the output device with 129 outputs, use the Dolby Atmos Music Panner Plug-into route metadata to the Dolby Atmos Production Suite and use the Dolby LTC Generator to send timecode to the Production Suite. The is described in section 5.9 of the Dolby Atmos Music Training at
    learning.dolby.com.

If there are specific inputs that are not getting signal please verify the track outputs, that the Music Panner Plug-in is set to the appropriate tracks, and that the input configuration of the Dolby Atmos Renderer is set to objects for 23-36.

Screenshots and specifics of the set up would help in troubleshooting this further.

    Thanks,
    Adam

    • Hello Adam,

No worries thank you for getting back to me.

      Regarding:

I have but I will quadruple check, though I am still trying to learn It. I have been reading your Renderer and Panner course (very helpful). Let me mess with it more and try to create templates from scratch,

One question please, how do I create a Bed Track like in your Logic Pro 64 & 128 Templates?

      Thank you,
      Phillip

    Hi Phillip,

You can address the first 10 inputs to the Dolby Production Suite Renderer with mono or stereo tracks or create a 5.1 or 7.1 surround track in Logic to address the Renderer inputs 1-8. As far as I know you can't create a 7.1.2 surround track in Logic for use with the Dolby Audio Bridge. You can absolutely do that with the integrated Renderer in Logic.

    Hope this helps.

  • Yes 👍 helps out a lot to better understand the Renderer.
I’m liking the work flow and stability better with the Dolby Renderer instead of the Logic built in Renderer. For some reason the Logic built in Renderer falls apart (audio doesn’t stay in sync after about 13 Object tracks, on a Mac Studio Max) 🤷🏻‍♂️😊

Thank you again for your time and help Adam.
