Dolby Digital 5.1 Decoder Processing Latency
What would be the average Dolby Digital 5.1 Decoder Processing Latency? Because for my application we have a product that can decode Dolby Digital 5.1 from the TV through the TOSLINK optical and after decoding which includes downmix to 2 channels it will be transmitted wireless to the headphones which also incurr additional latency and could cause a significant lipsync effect with the TV video.

    Hello,

    There are several different categories of latency contributing to a total latency.
    If by processing latency you mean algorithmic delay (that is to say the latency of the algorithm itself) then that is 288 samples.
