Dolby Atmos renderer set up issue with DAW (Protools or Live) MacOS 10.15
Hey !
I'm trying to get the Dolby Atmos renderer working on my MACBOOK Pro with my DAW(s)
First with Pro tools Ultimate (2022 and 2023), following the step by step setup guides and using the templates and I/O setups.
Once connected ( the peripheral status is OK with localhost name), the settings and I/O setups triple checked and LTC all set.
When I insert a signal generator, no modulation on the PT peak meter (next to the fader) and no signal on the renderer side.
When I press play Protools doesn't start playing. The stop button is steady blue and the play button is blinking slowly.
Tried booth panner mode ProTools native or Music Paner (on wich the object doesn't appear thought the controls can be twicked)
On the renderer side, the object inputs are circle in blue but no signal led. The objects doesn't show on the room. The TC doesn't get thru to the renderer neither.
I tried with Ableton Live 10 and same problem except that it can play and modulate on the tracks meters, but no sound and no tc in the renderer.
Hope you can help me !

Thank you

A lot to unpack there. Starting with Pro Tools some screen grabs would help. Firstly what is the Pro Tools playback engine set to? This should be the Dolby Audio Bridge. Is this Renderer v5? In the Renderer the preferences should have the input device set to Dolby Audio Bridge and the output device set to whatever is feeding your speakers. Or this could be headphone only mode. The Renderer should be in input mode.
In Pro Tools make sure the Object column is revealed in the edit window. The track output should be the 7.1.2 bed and the obect assigned in the Object column. The Object bed/toggle will alternate feeding the Bed or the selected Object that is mapped to the Renderer.
It would be a good idea to look at the online training at learning.dolby.com which goes over getting up and running in detail in the course but specifically the first few exercises for each DAW.

I by luck found the DAR Preferences and set the Input Driver to the DAR Bridge and the output to my Auroral a/d.
I am on Mac OS Ventura. I don't know if I have Rosetta (How do I check, I'm an old PC guy)
I am able to get signal to and from the DAR.
I got the N12 VST panner working but would like to get the DAR panner to work with the renderer, any hints...s

- Insert the Dolby Atmos Music Panner on an Audio, Instrument, or Sampler track.
- Assign that track's Output to the desired mapped Object output.
- Establish communication between the Music Panner and the Renderer by entering localhost in the Renderer field (if running the Renderer internally) or entering the IP address of the external Renderer.
- The connection status indicator will be green.
- Use the Object selection drop-down menu to select the same Object as the output.
- To create multiple objects on different tracks, repeat the steps above, taking care to match the Object and output assignments for each instance of the Music Panner (e.g., to assign Object 12, the output of the track should be set to output 12).
thank you for your message.
I took the time to read the instructions again and did the online training.
I even reinstalled both ProTools and Dolby renderer.
Still stuck on the same situation.
Here are some screenshots and video of the stuck ProTools.
I tried also with Ableton live and had the same behaviour (except Live is playing and the meters are following the audio signal - but nothing through to the DAR)
I noticed during the installation process that the installer shows AUDIO BRIDGE as an Update while other elements are shown as INTALL
Thank tou for your time
Best
