audio input device/output device error in windows 11
Hi, I'm using Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 laptop.
I opened Dolby Atmos Renderer and it showed me audio device error that i have to set up to input/output device.
Audio driver is ASIO.
But the thing is in the settings in menu tap, I can't select any audio input/output device. It's just 'None' status. No dolby audio bridge.

I'll be so appreciated if you help me out.

Thank you so much!
Olive

    Hi Olive,

The Dolby Audio Bridge is for Mac only. On a PC the Renderer requires Dante or MADI I/O devices to connect to the DAW running on a separate computer. There are some folks on the forum who have used Jack to get around this limitation to run a DAW and Renderer on the same PC but this isn't a supported workflow. Note that Steinberg Cubase/Nuendo and Black Magic Designs Resolve Studio have integrated Dolby Atmos Rendering and run on PC.

    Best,
    Adam

There are several studios trying to use Jack ASIO Adam, but DAR crashes when connecting to JACK ASIO driver. ProTools is working fine with JACK ASIO, it's just the Dolby Renderer side that crashes. The only solution is still ASIO Link Pro, but this is fiddly to setup and requires things loaded in specific orders. IOt's also not ideal because DAR doesn't maintain a constant connection with ASIO Link when entering Settings, causing it to crash itself.
