DAR experience : ERROR RendererExecutive - Audio device buffer overflow
Using a MAC M2 mini with a PT v2022.9 HD Native card in a Sonnet Echo Express SE III Going to a 192 IO. i will be working along no problem ,the the audio cuts out the renderer shows input and metering. This will persist causing me to have to power cycle the MAC the Sonnet and restart. I have the full log file if that would help.

Hi, Sorry for the delay. Is the Native card still visible in AudioMIDI setup when the drop out occurs? Does moving the chassis to a different thunderbolt port/bus make any difference?

    Thanks,
    Adam

      Hello Adam,

      Thanks for your reply.

*Is the Native card still visible in AudioMIDI setup? *YES

*Does moving the chassis to a different thunderbolt port/bus make any
      difference? *NO

When I use the Native card for playback from Itunes immersive the same
thing occurs. Shutting down Protools and the renderer , then trying to use
the native sound card with Itunes and no output. It's like the native card
has gone blind. I'm thinking to switch the playback side over to a UAD
Apollo x16. Do you have any advice on this move? I am at my wits end with
this current set-up and suspect the Sonnet at this point.

Thanks for your time and guidance,

    Hi,

The Avid cards have a way of being heisted by other applications. If you have an alternative core audio device to try for the Renderer output I would absolutely suggest trying it. If the card isn't disappearing from AudioMIDI I don't think the chassis is the issue.

    Thanks,
    Adam
