Stereo render and exported mp4 sound wrong
I'm using headphones. When I listen to the mix in Pro Tools thru the Renderer set to binaural headphone mode, it sounds fine. When I export an Atmos WAV master and listen back in the Renderer set to binaural, it sounds fine. When I set the Renderer to stereo headphone mode, or when I export to mp4 even with binaural mode checked, some ambiance effects are gone and some elements (like a voice or guitar) are louder than they should be. :( ???

The mp4 is a DD+JOC file, which is intended for speaker-based playback, not headphone binaural playback. More information on using the mp4 for qc is here: https://professionalsupport.dolby.com/s/article/How-do-I-QC-my-Dolby-Atmos-mix
If you want an offline file for binaural QC you will need to create a binaural re-render. More information on re-renders is available in module 3.2 of the free online Atmos training at learning.dolby.com
