Just upgraded to v5.1 - Can't Connect to Pro Tools & Meters / Limiter / Loudness Window is blank?
After upgrading from Atmos Renderer v 3.7.3 to v 5.1, I don't seem to be able to connect the Renderer to Pro Tools via Dolby Audio Bridge. I'm also noticing the window that normally shows my channel configuration and output meters, limiting, loudness information etc. is completely blank, which I’ve never seen before.

Connection status with Atmos is solid green in my peripherals setup window within Pro Tools and I was using version 3.7 with no issues earlier today. Not sure where I’m going wrong but I’ll bet it’s staring me in the face. Thanks for any and all assistance.

    Hi,

Can you please send a screenshot of the Renderer Preferences window? You will want to verify your input and output devices are set correctly, and that speaker, headphone, and loudness outputs are enabled (see screenshot).

    Hi Bennett,

I seem to have gotten things working, though I'm not sure how exactly.

The DAR didn't seem to like my Audio Output Device being routed to an aggregate device:
(I'm using an Antelope Orion 32+ for my first 32 channels of I/O, which does not have monitor or headphone outs, and a 2 channel UA Volt 276 on channels 33/34 so I have mic pre inputs and a headphone output).

After setting the Audio Output Device to my Orion 32 (instead of the aggregate device) the meter / loudness window populated and my objects and playback worked as expected.

I reverted back to v3.7 of the DAR just to check that out again and for whatever reason it had no problem running a master file or connecting to Pro Tools via my aggregate device.

After upgrading again to v5.1 I swapped back and forth between the Orion 32 and the Dual Interface and it ended up working that time, and I haven't had any connectivity problems since.

Go figure. Anything I should know about this? Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for investigating. Can you send over a zip of the log files (Help > Open logs folder) and include all of the logs? Aggregate devices can sometimes be unstable and experience clock drift, which may cause audio dropouts or artifacts, but it should be blocking the device as a core audio output device. My first guess without looking at the log files is that the Renderer was unable to correctly load/connect the drivers of the 2 devices as an aggregate device, but once they had been loaded it worked correctly. I will do some further investigation once you send over the logs.
