Loudness Meter in Pro Tools
Hi guys, I have a question regarding my new setup, I am using DAR software (not DAPS or DAMS), using 2 computers, 1 for DAW, and 1 for DAR. I am using Dante.
I set up my session according to the Dolby Atmos tutorial (text version), however, I might have missed something, I was wondering, how I get the Pro Tools meter to work, like setting a Pro Tools 7.1.4 Output and do the bus work, but isn't this will take 12 channels from the 128, this method would work for Pro Tools Output meters.
But is there a smarter way of projecting the DAR loudness meter in the Pro Tools software, so I don't need to check 2 windows, i know the Loudness report has awesome features, however, I am just curious is there a better way of doing this?

Probably easier to zip up the image files.
If you are using a MTRX Studio which only has 64 channels of Dante I/O you will need to set the Re-Renders to use channels below 64.
If your speaker layout is 7.1.4 you can start the live re-renders at output 13. (see image in the attached zip file)
You then need to route 13-18 back the MTRX in the Dante Controller application.
Make a 5.1 input in Pro Tools I/O setup input section.
Use that 5.1 input on an Aux Track with Insight inserted.
Also in the Renderer you want to use "loudness" (not 5.1) the re-render output. Loudness is 5.1 but with the same limiter used as the Renderer for accurate measurements. (see image in the attached zip file)
Hope that helps.
Best,
Adam
