Converting an ADM BWF to MP4 after mastering in Dolby Atmos Album Assembler
Hi, I have finalized my Dolby Atmos Mixes and Mastered them in the Dolby Atmos Album Assembler. In the album assembler, there is no option to export anything other than the ADM BWF and I am looking to export or convert these final atmos masters to MP4 for my client to listen to on their Airpods or other consumer atmos playback devices. Is their anyway to do this. I have Pro Tools with the new Atmos Renderer built in, the standalone Atmos Renderer application, and the Album Assembler. The Renderer allows for MP4s to be created from the ADM BWF which would allow them to listen to the un mastered versions of their songs which seems counter intuitive. Hope theres a solution to this.     Hi,

    You can open the mastered ADM (exported from the Album Assembler) in the Renderer application and export the mp4 from there.

      How do I import the mastered ADM BWF into Dolby Atmos Renderer so that I can export an mp4? I created a new master file in the Atmos Renderer but there is no option to import an ADM BWF

        File > Open master file or Command+O will allow you to open the ADM (which is a master file). You should not create a new master file.

        When opening the mastered files in the Atmos renderer, i can listen back to the files fine but however i get an error when trying to export this file and make an mp4. Not sure why it says it cannot open file when I’m able to play it back and see my objects and everything as it’s intended to be

        Does the Renderer have file + folder permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders?

        Yes, Dolby Atmos Renderer has all folder permissions allowed and checked in the Privacy and Security section of my computers system preferences

        Can you please send a zip file of the logs (Help > Open logs folder)

        Are you using an external hard drive? If so, can you try copying the ADM to your internal hard drive and exporting again?

        Yes I am using an external drive. I tried copying the ADM to my internal drive and exporting an mp4 to my internal drive as well and there was no luck. Got the same error message
