Is Dolby Atmos Music Panner only available in external mode in Pro Tools version 2024.03?

I want to use the Dolby Atmos music panel in internal mode.

    Hi,

    That is correct, the Dolby Atmos Music Panner only works with the Dolby Atmos Renderer application, and will not work with the internal Dolby Atmos Renderer in Pro Tools.

    That's a real pity. The Panner is one of the coolest features for mixing objects in Atmos. Using the internal renderer without it is a major disadvantage. I was planning on using it on an upcoming project as it opens up a lot of possibilities that are very difficult to do otherwise. A bit of a tease by Avid to offer an internal renderer without a panner.

      The Pro Tools panner is used with the internal renderer. It doesn't have the same features as the music panner plug-in (specifically the sequencer) but is a robust immersive panner that can be automated.
