Dolby Atmos Renderer no License after Avid Purchase
I recently purchased the Dolby Atmos Renderer for Education through Avid.
Sadly no iLok license has yet been deposited to my account. I opened a ticket with Avid and they sent me over.

Since my ticket though your contact form has'nt been handled for a week i decided to open this thread and seek help.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Just to clarify, the Education discount path for the Dolby Atmos Renderer was removed a while back. Dolby Atmos Renderer is now available for purchase through the Dolby Professional Store:
    https://professionalstore.dolby.com/

Could you confirm when and how the purchase was made in the Avid Store?

You also mentioned submitting a ticket through our contact form — could you share which form you used?

    Best,
    Heesuk

  • Hi Heesuk!

I purchased on February 23, 2026 and the order number is 5722729 and it was the following item: Dolby Atmos Renderer for Education SKU: 9513-31205-00.

I submitted a general request through the contact form on the German Dolby website through this form
    https://www.dolby.com/de/uber-uns/hilfe/.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I will also attach a file of how it looks inside my Avid account. Since this forum is public i will redact my iLok ID.

    Hi,

Thank you for your patience. We've currently asked Avid to provide your refund.

As previously mentioned, the Dolby Atmos Renderer (DAR) can only be purchased through the Professional Store for $299 at this time, and the individual education discount has been discontinued. We do offer discounted copies to universities, but not for direct individual purchase.

We do offer a 90-day free trial of Dolby Atmos Renderer here:
    https://customer.dolby.com/content-creation-and-delivery/dolby-atmos-renderer-v540/

Also, many Dolby Atmos Renderer features are now integrated directly into major DAWs such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, and Logic Pro. Depending on your workflow, you may be able to continue working without the standalone Renderer.

Additionally, could you provide more details or link about where and how you were able to make this purchase? This information will help us prevent similar issues in the future.

    Best,
    Heesuk

  • Hi.

Ok, so i will just have to accept, that i cannot use the renderer personally, thank you for the refund.

I already used the 90-day trial, that is why i purchased the renderer initially.

I purchased the renderer to be able to work with MP4 files etc which is not integrated into ProTools as far as i know.

I had the renderer in my cart for some time and I think that is why I was able to purchase it despite it being not available anymore.

The ticket at Avid has been closed when they sent me over to you, so no worries.

Thanks a lot for helping out!
