A few details that might help us figure this out:
- Which version of the Dolby Atmos Renderer are you running right now?
- What macOS version did you upgrade from before installing 26.4?
- Are you seeing issues with any other Core Audio drivers or third‑party audio devices, or is the Dolby Audio Bridge the only one affected?
Additionally, could you please share what you see in this folder?: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL

thanks for your reply and apologies for the delay in answering.
Which version of the Dolby Atmos Renderer are you running right now? And what macOS version did you upgrade from before installing 26.4?
***from 26.3.1 to 26.4
Also, are you seeing issues with any other Core Audio drivers or third‑party audio devices, or is the Dolby Audio Bridge the only one affected?
***Issues with Protools (expected) and other glitches with other Core Audio applications
Additionally, could you please share what you see in this folder?: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL
***Nothing. HAL does not contain trace of Dolby renderer files, and moreover, no matter how many installs I did remains empty.
Summarizing: had to do a difficult downgrade on a MacBook pro M5 Pro to 26.3.1- that Apple makes extremely difficult (on purpose).

Thank you for following up and for sharing the details. While we take a deeper look into this, could you please confirm whether you have downloaded the latest version of the Dolby Atmos Renderer?
Best,
Heesuk
yes, updated to latest version and reinstalled numerous times.
However after wiping out the Mac, completely, please note that everything works.
The issue seems to be that a complete mac reset is necessary, and I would not trust a backup after this painful experience 😊
