cm_offline HDR ProRes 4444XQ + DoVi XML to SDR ProRes 422 HQ output looks different than all other encoders.
Using this code from the manual: Using ProRes MOV with sidecar XML file:
./cm_offline -m <file.xml> <source.mov> <output.mov> --output-format "u10 interleaved
422 le lsb32rev ycbcr_bt709 gamma_bt1886 video bt709" --quicktime-codec prores_422_hq -
targ 1
This produces an output file with lifted blacks when compared to the outputs from Transkoder, Resolve, Vantage and Clipster which all look virtually identical when placed on a timeline and compared to the HDR source with 100nit 709 tone mapping enabled.
Even exporting an SDR image sequence from cm_offline looks identical to the ProRes oututs fom the above mentioned platforms. It's only when using the ProRes output of cm_offline that creates this anomaly. Is there a change that can be made to this code to get the black levels in line with the other files, including the cm_offline image sequence output?
