There still does not seem to be an outlet on video streaming service like Vimeo that can show non-commercial video content with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Dolby should give some thought to partnering with a suitable provider to further Dolby Atmos uptake.
There is a bottleneck preventing individual non-commercial video producers from using Dolby Atmos for their soundtracks as the subscription video streamers, like Vimeo or the brand new Livid do not allow Dolby Atmos content for audio tracks. Dolby should partner with a suitable streaming service to overcome this, and the uptake of Dolby Atmos audio would be soon become significant.
It is most probable that the cost of licencing the Dolby Renderer for a streaming service that has so far stopped this important move for users like myself, a creator of classical music videos. I am currently forced to re-render a Dolby Atmos Binaural file for each video which pre-supposes my viewers will listen on headphones of course.

    Thanks for the thoughtful feedback.

We agree that there is a gap today for creators who want to publish video content with a native Dolby Atmos soundtrack outside of major commercial streaming services. We're listening to feedbacks from our users and actively working with industry partners and platforms to explore ways of expanding support for immersive audio workflows.

At the same time, it's important that platforms hear directly from creators about the value of Atmos support. The more they see real demand from musicians, filmmakers, educators, and other creators, the easier it becomes to prioritize these capabilities. Streaming services and hosting platforms are ultimately the ones that decide which capabilities to prioritize, and they pay close attention to requests from their user communities, so we strongly encourage creators to share their feedback directly with the platforms they use and let them know that Dolby Atmos support is important to their workflow.

Again, we appreciate you taking time and sharing your experience. Please feel free to share any additional thoughts or suggestions you may have. Thank you!

    Best,

    Heesuk,
Thanks for the prompt reply and it's good know that Dolby wish to open up the outlets for video sountrack ctreators. I agree that we also must all try to inform the streaming platforms that it would be desirable for them to expand into this growing world of immersive audio that Dolby Atmos provides, for both 'film' and 'music'.
