Complimentary DRP entitlement missing after purchasing Dolby Media Encoder Perpetual license
Hello Dolby Support,
I purchased a Dolby Media Encoder Perpetual license from the Dolby Professional Store today.
The DME license has already been successfully deposited into my iLok account and activated on my computer. The license is active and shows no expiration.
According to the current Dolby Reference Player v4.3.0 page, Dolby Media Encoder users already have access to Dolby Reference Player, and after signing in with the Dolby Customer account linked to the existing DME license, there should be an option to deposit a DRP iLok license directly to the iLok account.
However, when I sign in and open the Dolby Reference Player v4.3.0 page, I only see:
- Buy Now
- Request your trial
- Select files to download
There is no option to deposit the complimentary DRP license.
Could you please check whether my DME entitlement has been correctly linked to my Dolby Customer account and enable the corresponding Dolby Reference Player entitlement?
Thank you.

Dolby Reference Player is not included in Dolby Media Encoder 4.0 purchase. It used to be and still is complimentary product for those who are active Dolby Media Encoder 3.x customers - with their remaining license time, we do not distribute those licenses any more.
Since release of Dolby Media Encoder 4.0, Dolby Reference Player is complimentary product only for Dolby Encoding Engine and licensees customers - what you can find here: .
This information has been edited and already removed. Could you please let us know where did you find it now?
Dolby Customer portal is listing "Related Products" not connected with license.
Thank you for clarifying.
I found the information on the official Dolby Reference Player page / Dolby Customer page. The page stated that Dolby Media Encoder or Dolby Encoding Engine users already have access to Dolby Reference Player and could deposit an iLok license directly to their account.
I have attached a screenshot showing the wording I saw.
Because I relied on this official information when purchasing Dolby Media Encoder 4.0 Perpetual, I did not purchase the separate DRP license at checkout.
Could you please confirm whether it would be possible to provide the DRP license as a courtesy in this case, given that the official page still displayed the outdated entitlement information when I made the purchase?
Thank you.
You did not attach screen shot.
Thank you for the clarification. I may have seen an older version of the Dolby Reference Player page, and I understand that the current page has already been updated and no longer includes Dolby Media Encoder 4.0 users.
My question has now been resolved.
Could you please help remove/delete this topic? Some of the screenshots I uploaded contain my personal iLok account ID and related account information, so I would prefer not to leave them publicly visible.
Thank you very much for your help and clarification.
Yes, before Dolby Media Encoder has been released there was such information presented on Professional Support portal. It has been removed with release.
I have removed screen shots from your first post to not expose your iLOK details.
