a 7.1.4 Object Bed for Logic Pro
I guess this isn't exactly a question, so I apologize if this isn't the right place to put this; mods, please steer me in the right direction if so.
Logic Pro doesn't offer an Object Bed feature like some DAWs do. So I built one: it's an empty project that takes 7.1.4 input, or a 7.1.4 region, and represents all the non-LFE channels as Atmos objects (or, in one configuration, only the top corners, with the 7.1 channels remaining as bed channels).
It still can't do some of the things that a true Object Bed feature does (like offer a single Object Bed Balancer), but if you're in Logic, it's at least something. It required a fair bit of contorting Logic to do things it didn't want to do, but it actually does work reliably: all the 7.1.4 non-LFE channels reach the Atmos plug-in as objects, and can be verified via a couple of 7.1.4 level meters as identical to the source when rendered back to 7.1.4 output, as you can see in the attached screenshot.
